The Friday Pub Club began in the summer of 2021. A group of friends, centred on Abingdon, met up for a pint or two after the Covid restrictions had been lifted.
They decided to give a wider invitation to others and so the Pub Club was born.

The idea is to enjoy beer and conversation, at different locations each week, in the local area and beyond. Normally it includes 1-3 pubs. Not everyone arrives at 2pm. Some people drift away by 4pm. Nothing formal, just a pint with friends, open to all.

Sometimes the venues are new, sometimes old favourites. The club has so far visited more than 50 pubs, clubs and breweries.
